NOTE 1:
The Eastern Shore is possibly the most beautiful and interesting
place in the mid-Atlantic region. Bring your convertable, your
sweetheart, and your life list, and plan to make a weekend of
it.
NOTE 2:
Remember that it is quite an old pirate treasure map, and
most of the detail has been obliterated by the passing of the
centuries and will be impossible to make out. It is not your
TV.
NOTE 3:
This is the original version. It has been superceeded. See
note at the new one.
NOTE 4:
Off-trail walking is involved. You may encounter nasty greenbriar
depending on your route choice. I walked around them ...
NOTE 5:
There are sensitive wetlands and other wildlife habitat
on the Eastern Shore. The box can be found without entering
wetlands, and other areas marked "closed" and the like.
NOTE 6: Be wary of snakes and other wildlife
when reaching into dark places. No need to dig for this box (tho it
may be covered with a layer of buildup). All bearings magnetic
unless otherwise noted. A pace is a long stride counted on a
footfall of either foot, i.e. two paces are counted
each time the right foot hits the ground. Be aware of if or
when there is game hunting in the area.
NOTE 7:
Please re-hide the thing well just as you found it, as you found it.
