Nice weather, nice map, nice meet. It will be tough to trump this one as best meet of the year. Its fun to get on some technical terrain for a change. I was very happy with day one, making only 1 30 second mistake on #4. Wil Smith, however, says if you're not making at least 1-2 minutes of mistakes in this sort of terrain, you're not running fast enough, which is probably true.

I certainly wasn't running fast enough on day 2 either, but I still managed to have a sloppy first part of the race, probably making about 5 minutes of mistakes. I did clean my act up in the second half, but it wasn't quite enough to place.

Still an encouraging weekend. I seem to be improving very slowly injury/fitness wise. Still not close to 100%, but better than 2 weeks ago.

And now for something completely different -- this isn't something you see in the woods every day, so imagine my shock at seeing this pricey ride in mine when I drove to my house. Moral of the story: If you park on a hill, don't leave your car in neutral ...
