First chance at doing the beer chase. You were allowed to skip one control on the first loop, and there was a forked control on the second. Had to chug a beer on the clock before each loop, and before finishing (4 total). Mass start.

Map was a bit iffy in places, I thought. I also felt pretty crappy from too much partying the day before. But I ran pretty well, finishing 2nd (at least among mass starters, as far as I know), and about 10% behind Jon. Ran 6 something per k.

Blew the second control on the first 2 loops, but navigated pretty well otherwise. Most of my competition seemed to drop off after making some mistakes that I didn't. I definitely felt the beer on the second loop and beyond, and it was an interesting experience. I'd never navigated under the influence before, and I don't recommend it as a recipe for success, but it was fun.
