DVOA hosted a rerun of possibly the first O event in the country, and
certainly the first DVOA event, from Nov 5th, 1967, at Valley Forge.
We were are on a copy of the original black and white map. The course
was 5K, and the winning time back then was 51 something. My goal was
to beat the winning time. I did, just barely, but I lost 13 minutes
on a mishung control, so it wasn't too bad. It was a beautiful fall
day, and alot of fun.
