BRQ #1: Nez Perce Trail

LOCATION:  Wallowa County, OR

CHALLENGE:  1 star

DATE/NUMBER:  20-Sep-1999/18

MAP:  This box is somewhere along the Backroads Quest Drive. From the top of a mountain there exists an old cement signpost at 300 degrees. The same cement thingy exists 326 degrees and 104 paces from some crags; look in a nook.

NOTE 1:  Off-trail walking is involved. There is some extremely steep terrain in the area. No unattended children! The box can be found while still avoiding the steep terrain, of course.

NOTE 2:  Be wary of snakes and other wildlife when reaching into dark places. No need to dig for this box. All bearings magnetic unless otherwise noted. A pace is a long stride counted on a footfall of either foot, i.e. two paces are counted each time the right foot hits the ground. Be aware of if or when there is game hunting in the area.

NOTE 3:  Please re-hide the thing well just as you found it, and be discreet when stamping up.
